Engineered Plastic Bearings
EP®Self-Lubricating Engineered Plastic Bearings
Engineered plastics out of thermoplastic bearing material are processed by injection moulding. This production method enables us to produce unlimited dimensions in accordance to our standard, and also parts with special designs and features.
EP® SERIES, KA GLACETAL, MULTILUBE AND
FLASH-CLICK® POLYMER BEARINGS
Our series of EP® polymer bearings provide excellent wear resistance and low friction in both dry and lubricated operating conditions over a wide range of applications. Consisting of nine different materials, the EP® series of engineered plastic materials is made of a variety of resins compounded with reinforcing fibers and solid lubricant. They exhibit excellent dimensional stability, low coefficients of friction, high compressive strength and creep resistance, low thermal expansion and good thermal conductivity.
The EP® series covers a wide range of applications within the scope of their material properties. They can be found in many different types of equipment, including agricultural equipment, chemical processing, material handling, electronics assembly, food processing, medical, office, packaging, scientific, sports and recreation, textile and transportation.
EP®15 solar engineered plastic bushings are designed to withstand the demanding conditions and UV rays of the commercial solar power industry and other outdoor applications. With a temperature range of -40 through 125 degrees Celsius, the EP®15 solar bearing can stand up to harsh weather conditions. EP®15 UV resistant bearings also exhibit excellent strength, thermal conductivity and moisture absorption.
Our EP®30 self lubricating engineered plastic bushings are made-to-order in a wide range of standard and custom shapes, and provide good to very good dry and lubricated performance in applications as diverse as office and sports equipment, automobiles, domestic appliances and chemical-processing equipment. EP®30 polymer bearing offers improved temperature resistance and damping effect to reduce noise, and provides the ideal combination of performance and price for certain applications, such as water pumps both in automotive and industrial applications, pulley dampers, automotive interiors, seat sliders and hydrodynamic applications.
In addition, our EP®73 polymer bearings are being used in automotive applications such as automatic gears, pumps, sealing for turbo compressors, piston rings and valve seats. Additionally, EP®73 engineered plastics bushings are used in the aerospace industry as it offers weight savings in compressor blades for turbojet engines.
We also manufacture acetal-based KA Glacetal thrust washers for light-duty applications. Multilube engineered plastic bearings are available as cylindrical bushings, flanged bearings and customized designs and are corrosion resistant in humid/saline environments.
FLASH-CLICK® thermoplastic bearings are the industry´s first dual component double-flanged engineered plastics bearings which feature a special geometry for simple manual or automated installation without the need for a pilot or assembly tools.
